Use the pre-order badge to identify pre-order products, making it clear to customers that the product will require a waiting period for shipment.

Offer Discounts or Promotions for Pre-order Products: To encourage customers to pre-order, you can offer exclusive discounts or promotions for pre-order products, such as free gifts or coupons. This can increase the appeal of pre-order items while highlighting the unique value of pre-ordering.

Email Notifications and Follow-ups:
Order Confirmation Email: After a customer places a pre-order, immediately send a confirmation email with detailed information about the pre-ordered item and the expected shipping date.
Shipping Reminder Email: When the pre-order product is ready to ship, send a shipping notification to the customer, providing the shipment status and tracking information.
Periodic Follow-up Emails: For longer pre-order periods, it’s recommended to send periodic updates to keep customers informed about the product’s progress, helping to alleviate any potential customer anxiety.
Example Text: “Thank you for your pre-order! Your product is expected to ship on [shipping date]. We will provide detailed tracking information via email once it has been shipped.”
Optimization Suggestions:
Regularly check stock levels and the supply chain to ensure that pre-order products can be shipped on time, and update the product status on the page in real-time.
A clear refund and cancellation policy should be clearly stated on the pre-order page to increase customer trust.
Set quantity limits for pre-orders on popular products to avoid over-ordering and potential supply issues.
With the pre-order feature, you can secure sales for products before they arrive, enhancing the customer’s purchasing experience while providing merchants with more sales opportunities.
